Update on life.
    Well hello Mindsay!

I thought it would be a good time to update you on my life and how things are going here in Cincinnati.
The move-in went smoothly.  I met all my roommates and I was really apprehensive at first.  Two of the girls have already been at the school for a year, and the other girl was moving in and starting school at the same time I was.  They all seemed awkward and a little.. Weird.  Usually, art students are.  I’m really outgoing and talkative, and two of them kind of looked down a lot, and were quiet.  As the week progressed, its gotten better.  They jokingly tease me for being as girlie as I am and for all the clothing I own.  One of them asked me, “so do you have a boyfriend?” and I said no.. She was like, “No? How?! You’re so pretty!” and the other chimed in, “and so nice and smiley!”   It made me feel good.  They’re coming out of their shells more.
My one concern right now is it seems like they have issues picking up after themselves.  I’ve been the one to take care of the dishes and the trash.. As well as clean up the lint from the dryer.  I don’t like feeling like their mother.  But if the issue continues, I know I’ll need to confront it.
Classes just started, and they seem pretty good so far.  Everyone is so surprised to hear that I’m from Massachusetts.  I distinguished myself at Orientation when they asked if anybody had driven more than 5 hours to get there, and I was the only one who raised their hand and told them 12 hours.  It’s kind of cool to be known as the out of towner, or “Molly from Mass”.  They also keep pegging me for the fashion merchandising program, which makes me feel good. Haha.
I have moments where I get lonely but even that is getting better. I’m still in the process of making friends, which will take time.  There was only one girl I was in contact with through Facebook who goes to the same school as I do.  Her birthday was last week and mine is tomorrow, so I went out with her, her boyfriend, and their friends to celebrate.  Her boyfriend paid for my dinner and they’re bringing a cake into class tomorrow.. It’s definitely made me feel even more welcome here and thankful.  I can’t believe how well everything has been going.. Overall, I’m very happy.

And to end this post, here’s some of my newest photographs I took for one of my classes.
